Is This Meeting Needs and Protecting Those in Long-Term Care?
We will keep bringing awareness that this is a common story. How can this be ignored? How many times does it need said before someone realizes there is a problem? Fear and Retaliation stops the residents, families and even staff from telling the truth. And when no one listens and protects them, we totally get why they are afraid to speak up. But, now that the families are watching their loved ones decline and their ability to thrive is taken away, and the staff have to work with this heartbreaking situation, more are speaking up. The Blinders need to come off!
It would so much easier to do the right thing, make it a win for residents, families and even facilities, but these tactics seem to work well for those that choose to be bad actors!
