Ohio's Indoor Visitation Bare Minimum

The State update on September 24, 2020 now allows indoor visiting October 12, 2020. However, this announcement was even more restrictive than CMS as it allows room visits if there is no roommate, however the state did not appear to allow that.

Whether it is CMS or the State, many want answers as to how the Nursing Home Reform Act of 1987 and Ohio Resident Rights laws can be so largely ignored.

Why do we continue with the most restrictive environment, instead of the least? We understand in the first weeks time was needed to make a plan. But, a plan was never made for long-term care. We all have to live with COVID being around awhile right now, it is getting really outrageous to accept residents locked up in a facility with just about every right taken away.
