Jessie Ruffin, Effort on Short Staffing Through Carolyn's Law

This is a welcomed effort, Carolyn’s Law, to do something about short staffing which everyone knows exists in almost every facility at some point. Jessie’s petitions are bringing much awareness to this crisis. Nurses and aides have been overwhelmingly happy to sign these petitions when they are not “on the clock”. When you sign his petition, is validates us together saying, this is a huge problem that needs to be addressed!!

These part petitions (called part because they do not have all signatures on them, just from each county) have room for about 35 signatures. Between friends, family, and neighbors, such an easy task to get them! Even if you get one signature on the part petition, it counts as long as it is a registered voter. If they are not registered, Jessie has the forms to get them registered. Voting is something Elderly Advocates highly encourages!

No matter where you are in Ohio, Contact us, to get more information and get involved in this effort. This doesn’t cost anything to do!
