A Plea for Help from Residents & Families

We are soon approaching one year of this lock down in long-term care facilities come March. The residents and families continue to lack the respect, dignity and care they deserve. The families continue to be ignored. For those most adversely affected in long-term care in this pandemic there has been a huge rabbit hole in the efforts to get questions answered and get solutions for ongoing issues. They have gone to the Governor, they have emailed and called their representatives in Ohio, but still very close to the same place they were 10 months ago. The link below gives the letter sent this week to all 133 Ohio State Representatives and Senators. Will they answer the plea for help? It is heartbreaking that this situation has not improved and many feel their family members have died without the help needed. This is nothing short of a nightmare for many of the residents and families in long-term care that they live with everyday in the post COVID-19 world. We can do better than this. We have to choose to. Will anyone help? Is it too much to ask for help for their mothers, fathers, sister, brothers and other loved ones who they love dearly? We hold on to hope everyday someone will do something.
