A Message for the Baby Boomers (Born 1946-1964)

Hard to believe, we are the baby boomers! Those born between 1946 and 1964. By, 2030, we will all be 65 or older. That means one in every five Americans will be of retirement age by 2030. This is us!!

That is why we see all these buildings going up right next to each other. The shortage we have in staff was expected, but nothing was done about it, so it's better to blame the shortage on covid. Care has got worse, not better. 70% of Adults aged 65 and older will require long term care at some point.

Even in these expensive 5-10K a month places, we hear constant complaints, the residents are not getting the help they pay for. We even hear it from the workers in these facilities.

When we get there it will be too late. We need to grow this advocacy group, make sure it sustains for us and later generations, and keep being loud and persistent voices for change and quality care.
