Who are we ??

This is a common question asked:

Q: Who are you?

A: We are a growing group of people that come from many places, we may have lost a loved one and we feel poor care caused it or made our loved ones last years a struggle for acceptable care in long term care facilities. Some of us are retired from the healthcare field and can now speak up about the challenges our elderly face in long term care they have personally seen. Some of us feel we can’t ignore the news stories any longer and the abuse, neglect and unsafe care is becoming a norm. Some of us realize the older population is exploding in coming years and if we have under staffing accepted now, what will happen then when the older generation is now double to take care of. Some of us have loved ones in nursing homes right now who are not receiving the respect, maintaining their dignity or receiving quality care they deserve.
