This is an ideal path to improved healthcare in being able to build a bridge with the industry to work together instead of what many times seems against each other. In this presentation it seems the industry feels they are constantly attacked. We look at this not as attacking, but as exhuasted patience in waiting for the long-term care industry to meet advocates halfway or to be fair, and lastly to realize the importance of the service they have agreed to give but many times profit over care prevails in the care of our treasured loved ones.

Our takeaway in this discussion is that the health industry is going to push back on any laws having enforcment or accountability. They want advocates to “trust them” even though that trust shipped sailed a long time ago and not much has been seen in good faith that the industry truly wants to acknowledge the issues and work to find the best solution.
